Scottsdale Master Bathroom Remodel

This Scottsdale home carries a warm, hacienda-inspired character with bold accent tile and layered finishes throughout. For The Equestrian Project, the focus was the primary bathroom—modernizing the shower and tub area while preserving the personality and architectural warmth of the home.

Project Overview

  • Project Type: Primary bathroom remodel
  • Location: Scottsdale, Arizona
  • Scope: Curbless shower conversion, tub deck rebuild, new plumbing fixtures, window replacement, decorative lighting update, full tile installation

Design Intent

The goal was to refine—not erase—the home’s character.

Handmade-look tile was selected to add texture and visual depth. Warm metallic finishes introduce contrast without overpowering the space. The result is a calm, elevated bathroom that feels intentional and timeless.

Scope of Work – Primary Bathroom

Curbless Shower Conversion

The existing shower was removed down to framing. The slab was recessed to create a true curbless entry. New waterproofing systems, tile backer, and a complete tile installation were added to ensure long-term performance.

The updated layout improves both accessibility and visual flow.

Tub Nook Rebuild + Lighting Update

The existing tub and surrounding tile were removed. The deck was reframed and rebuilt to accommodate a new soaking tub and updated tile layout.

The recessed can light above the tub was replaced with a decorative fixture location, adding a more architectural focal point to the space.

Window Replacement

The bathroom window was replaced with a new energy-efficient unit featuring clear Low-E glass. This improves durability, moisture performance, and overall energy efficiency

Secondary Bathroom Updates

While this portfolio highlights the primary bath, additional updates were completed in the children’s bathrooms, including:

  • New StarMark cabinetry
  • Stella Gold 2CM countertops
  • Kohler undermount sinks
  • Delta widespread faucets
  • New mirrors and cabinet hardware
  • Paint and drywall repairs

These improvements brought continuity and cohesion throughout the home.

Scheduling & Material Coordination

Select tile materials experienced manufacturer backorders. To maintain momentum, work was sequenced strategically—completing secondary bathroom cabinetry first and scheduling primary bath tile installation once materials were secured.

Proper sequencing ensured quality was never compromised for speed.

Planning a Scottsdale Master Bathroom Remodel?

If you’re considering a Scottsdale master bathroom remodel, especially one involving a curbless shower conversion, detailed tile installation, or premium plumbing fixtures, early planning is essential.

A successful remodel balances design vision, structural coordination, waterproofing systems, and material lead times—resulting in a space that performs as beautifully as it looks.
