Why We Do What We Do
A remodel touches more than a house. It touches how a family lives, gathers, and feels at home for years to come. That’s not something we take lightly, and it’s why everything at ArDan traces back to a specific mission, a clear vision, and values that were lived out long before they were ever written down.
Our Mission
We build exceptional remodels and lasting relationships with care.
For every person we serve, for every home that we are welcomed into.
Our Vision
To empower our team to deliver a world-class service and exceptional quality.
We know when we get that right, our clients feel it and will always remember it.
A PROVEN PROCESS, NOT A GUESS
Our Core Values
Values We Didn’t Write in a Conference Room
These weren’t drafted in a strategy meeting. They come directly from how Aaron and Danny Niemela were raised, in a large family in the Pacific Northwest where everyone pitched in, standards were high, and caring for others wasn’t optional.
Everything ArDan does grows from these six roots.
01
Care & Respect
For others and their property, always. When ArDan enters your home, we treat it like it belongs to someone we love. Blue tape goes on every surface. Zip walls go up. Filters run. Your belongings are protected, your schedule is respected, and your vision is heard, not just executed. Aaron traces this straight back to how he and Danny were raised: whatever the job was, you showed up, and you did it right. That same posture shows up on every job site, with every vendor, and in every conversation with a client trusting us with one of the biggest investments of their life.
02
Gratitude
For every opportunity, and for every person who helped us get here. Aaron and Danny didn’t build ArDan alone. Mentors, older tradespeople, and clients who became lifelong advocates took a chance on them along the way. That’s why we pay our team and subcontractors well: someone paid it forward for us. It’s why we invest in our team: someone invested in us. And it’s why we never take a homeowner’s trust for granted: we know exactly what it costs to earn it.
03
Strategic Stewardship
Of time, resources, and responsibility, because people are counting on us. A family trusting ArDan with a $300,000 to a multi-million renovation isn’t just handing over money. They’re handing over their home, their daily life, and their peace of mind. We honor that with real planning: material lists, milestone meetings, pre-construction walkthroughs, and a Buildertrend portal that gives you real-time visibility into every stage of your project. Aaron puts it simply: there are a lot of people counting on him. That weight doesn’t create anxiety. It creates the kind of care clients can feel from the very first call.
04
High Standards
For service, craft, and contribution, without exception. Aaron’s parents held high standards, ones he didn’t always appreciate growing up but deeply values now. That standard shapes how we hire, train, and hold our team accountable, and how every project gets planned, executed, and handed over. We don’t cut corners. We don’t rush finishes. We don’t accept good enough when excellence is what we promised. It isn’t perfectionism. It’s respect for your trust, for the craft itself, and for the people who’ll live in the space long after our crew has gone home.
05
Faith as a Daily Operating System
Not a tagline. A foundation. Faith shapes how Aaron and Danny make decisions, in hiring, in conflict, and in how they treat people they’ll never see again.
It isn’t announced in our marketing. It shows up in the care for subcontractors who could easily be underpaid, in the honesty when a ballpark estimate changes, and in the willingness to cover work that wasn’t technically in scope when a family needed it. It runs underneath everything we do, quietly and consistently, in a way clients often feel before they can name it.
06
Communication
With clients, with the team, and with every person who depends on us to keep them in the loop.
A renovation without clear communication isn’t just frustrating — it’s disorienting. Aaron learned that firsthand at 18, working for a framing company where no one stepped into the mentorship role, no one explained what was happening or why, and he spent three months wondering what he was supposed to do next. It was his worst job ever — not because of the work, but because of the silence around it.
That experience never left him. And it’s exactly why communication is a non-negotiable at ArDan — not a nice-to-have, not a differentiator to put on a website, but a core value that shapes how the team operates internally and how every client is treated throughout the life of their project.
When a client knows what’s happening, what’s coming next, and why a decision was made, they don’t have to wonder. They don’t have to follow up. They don’t have to carry the quiet anxiety that comes from being left in the dark during one of the biggest investments of their lives. That peace of mind is something ArDan delivers deliberately — through daily job logs, milestone meetings, proactive updates when anything shifts, and a team culture where no one is left wondering what they’re supposed to be doing or where the company is headed.
A team that’s informed is a team that can contribute. A client that’s informed is a client that can trust. Communication is how both happen.
WHY WE EXIST
The Reasons
Behind the Work
Because families deserve a remodeling partner they can trust completely, before, during, and years after the project ends.
Because a dream you’ve put off for a decade deserves more than a contractor with a truck. It deserves a team with certified designers, a proven process, and the commitment to see it through.
Because the kitchen your family gathers around, the porch where you watch the sunset, the home that finally matches the life you’ve built- those things matter, and the company building them should act like it.
Because subcontractors who are treated with respect and paid fairly do better work, and that better work shows up in the life of every family whose home they touch.
Because the construction industry has a reputation problem, and we’re committed to proving it doesn’t have to.
