Even if you take care of all the tasks listed above during a major renovation, the chances are good that you’ll have to hire a contractor for other phases of your bathroom remodel.
Unless you have vast experience with electrical work, it’s wise to hire a bathroom remodeling company if your project involves running new wires or relocating existing ones. Given that water is used in bathrooms regularly in a typical home, there is no reason to take any chances when it comes to electricity and bathroom renovations. Play it safe and hire a contractor.
Similarly, it’s advisable to hire a contractor if you’re going to relocate existing pipes or install new plumbing. Even if you’ve worked with plumbing in the past, you should hire a professional if you only have limited access to the pipes you want to relocate or install or you’re unfamiliar with the current code regarding residential plumbing.
