Recently, we have started a new project near Grayhawk Golf Club in North Scottsdale. The home is in the Tesoro gated community and overlooks a hole on the Grayhawk golf course. The clients are from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and are planning to move here to be near their grandchildren.

The Home

The home is three bedrooms and two bathrooms with high ceilings. Currently, there is a wall separating the living room and the kitchen limiting the open concept idea. The master bathroom has an interesting configuration that will need to be changed as well. At this time, the shower shares a wall with the vanity and sinks. The kitchen will need a floorplan adjustment. Last but not least, the fireplace in the living room will need to be adjusted to fit the client’s style.

The Project

The project will consist of a full demolition of all flooring, kitchen and bathroom fixtures, and the wall separating the kitchen and the living. Additionally, the living room will change, with the fireplace being updated and an accent wall being created. The entryway currently has a chandelier in the center, the chandelier will be changed, and some artwork will be added to the inlet. By the end of this project, the clients’ beachy style should shine through.

The Clients

To make things more interesting our clients will not be in Scottsdale, in fact, we have not even met them in person yet. As our clients continue to reside in Cape Cod, we are extremely grateful for the gift of technology. We have implemented phone calls, FaceTime, and email into our process. Our team will need to continually update them with photos, so they can witness the progress. All in all, we are hoping to create a space for them, that they can enjoy for years to come.
